The Merced-Mariposa County Medical Society (MMCMS) was organized November 12,
1903. MMCMS is the largest professional organization representing
physicians in Merced and Mariposa Counties. Our member physicians are
members of both MMCMS and the California Medical Association (CMA) through our
charter with CMA. Working together, MMCMS and CMA leverage statewide
resources to ensure an environment of physician-led and patient-centered care.
MMCMS represents all modes of practice and specialties and through our
partnership with CMA, we are dedicated to serving our member physicians through
a comprehensive program of legislative, legal, regulatory, economic and social
advocacy. We know that in today’s economic climate, physicians are being
assailed from many directions. Our goal is to provide our members with the
necessary support, so that they can surpass the challenges and continue to run
successful medical practices.
Our Mission
The mission of MMCMS is to promote the science and art of medicine, the care and
well-being of patients, the protection of the public health, and the betterment
of the medical profession; to cooperate with organizations of like purposes; and
to unite with similar societies in the State of California as component
societies of the California Medical Association.
